Rotary Club of Pondicherry Port was Chartered in 1995 with a Core group of 20 members. Our Sponsor club was Rotary Club of Midtown. The name "Port" was selected, as Pondicherry had a heritage Port.
Past President of Rotary Club of Midtown Rtn. Prof. Nagraj, GSR was the coordinator for our club to initiate and Rtn. Ajay Virmani was the President.
The second dinner meet was hosted by the second batch of Rotarians of Rotary Gonikoppal on 29th Dec 2020 at Yellow Bamboo Resort. It was a sizzling night with Vikram Jaadugarh along with a cozy campfire and delicious food.
Rotary Gonikoppal conducted free camp ‘Know your Numbers’ under Project Positive Health. Around 56 individuals from Jodubeeti Kodava Koota got their height, weight, BP and sugar level tested in association with Om Diagnostic Centre, Ponnampet. President Rtn. Beeta ML spoke on the occasion about ‘Ek chamach kam, chaar kadam aage’ along with the Secretary Rtn. Muthappa KC who is also the President of Jodubeety Kodava Koota. Pamphlets were distributed to bring awareness among the public.
